Avoid duplicate accounts in ScholarOne System

During submission, the corresponding author is required to insert co-authors’ names and e-mail addresses for the authorship of the manuscript. Duplicate accounts happen, most of the times, he/she inserts a different e-mail address of a co-author (who already has an account in the system). It also happens when the user forgets or doesn’t know his password and, instead of resetting it, he creates another account with a different e-mail address.

This causes miscommunication between RBZ editorial office and the authors, or among authors, and difficulty to find the correct user account to check necessary information.

So, it is extremely important for the corresponding author to verify all the co-authors’ correct e-mail address before inserting the authorship of a manuscript, and check if they already have an existing account. And if you fogot your ScholarOne password, you can reset it in the login page (https://mc04.manuscriptcentral.com/rbz-scielo) or contact our office (secretariarbz@sbz.org.br) immediately so we can send you information to reset your password.
